실리콘 접착제 및 실란트

Because all surfaces undergo gas and water adsorption in the molecular range when exposed to normal atmosphere, they are in some way "contaminated."  To ensure reliable surface conditions for bonding, these surfaces should be cleaned and degreased.  (Care should be taken to remove all solvents, cleaning agents and water before bonding.)

Doing this will:

• Remove unwanted contaminating films by degreasing / cleaning agents
• Remove dust, oxides, remnants of dirt, paints, mold release agents

Types of cleaning agents

• Industrial detergents - should be rinsed off with deionized water and the surface thoroughly dried before applying the adhesive or sealant
• Organic Solvents
  • Mineral spirits
  • Isopropanol or Isopropanol/Acetone mixture
  • MEK
• Dow Corning® OS-2 Silicone Cleaner and Surface Prep Solvent
  • Removes silicones, oils, greases, waxes and sealant residue from mechanical applications
  • Prepares surfaces to be painted, bonded, or sealed
  • Safe on plastics and non-corrosive to metals
  • VOC exempt; non-ozone depleting
  • Dries quickly

If cleaning and degreasing do not ensure good bonding, consider:

• Primer Treatment
• Physical Pre-Treatment
  • Flame Treatment
  • Corona Discharge
  • Plasma Treatment
