Located in Wiesbaden, Dow Corning GmbH is part of Dow Corning Corporation, a global leader in silicon-based technology and innovation. The Wiesbaden site plays a key role in meeting the needs of customers in Germany and many other parts of Europe, including the growing economies of Russia and Turkey.

Wiesbaden is one of Dow Corning’s largest manufacturing facilities in Europe and supports a wide range of functions and activities from research and development, to application technology, and sales and marketing. Approximately 350 people work at the site.

Since its origins in the late 1960s, the site has grown through continuous investment. These are helping the site to grow its ability to meet the needs of customers.

Other investments are intended to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance. These are areas of high importance to the site’s operations. Recent developments include the expansion of facilities to manufacture high consistency silicone rubber and the installation of solar panels through the site.

Many of the products manufactured at Wiesbaden are used extensively in industries such as automotive, electronics, and construction.

Dow Corning Germany is certified according to ISO 9001 (since 1991), ISO EN 14001 (since 1997) and QS 9000 (since 1998).
