The Healthcare Industries Materials Site is the only Dow Corning facility
dedicated to supplying products to the healthcare industry. These products are
used by customers around the world to manufacture a wide variety of healthcare
products, including pharmaceutical tubing, pacemaker leads, drug-delivery
patches (such as nicotine patches), home diagnostic kits for renal patients,
antigas antifoams, and other pharmaceutical products.
The Healthcare Materials Site is the only Dow Corning site that is
registered and inspected by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as producer
of bulk pharmaceutical ingredients. This requires that the site operations are
based on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), which set very high
standards for cleanliness and quality assurance. These standards, developed by
the FDA, help the Healthcare Industries Materials Site remain at the forefront
of purity and quality efforts.
Our site is located on 328 acres of rural property near Hemlock, Michigan.
